This is a rewarding temp-to-perm opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them succeed both academically and personally.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support for secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. The successful Teaching Assistant will help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment while building positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence, and emotional regulation.
Job Responsibilities of a Teaching AssistantProvide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Help maintain a safe and structured learning environment
