Sen Teaching Assistant
*SEN Teaching Assitant role - full time - SEN School, Edgware - September 2026 start*
We are working with an OUTSTANDING primary SEN school in Edgware (HA8) who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full‑time, long‑term role, supporting pupils with PMLD and complex needs within a highly structured and well‑supported setting.
Location: Edgware, HA8
Start Date: September
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD / Complex Needs)
Contract: Full‑time, long‑term
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 - 3:30pm
Pay: Up to £130 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with PMLD and complex needs within the classroom
- Assist with daily routines, sensory activities, and structured learning
- Provide support tailored to individual EHCPs
- Work alongside teachers and therapists to support pupil progress
- Support communication through sensory approaches and alternative methods
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and structured learning environment
About You:
- Experience working with PMLD and complex needs is essential
- Must have previous experience working within an SEN or specialist school setting
- Confident supporting pupils with a range of severe learning and physical needs
- Calm, patient, and physically resilient
- Able to work effectively in a team within a structured environment
